FeiRight is an on-device Chinese word reference with five categories, a daily word, character and pinyin search, pronunciation comparisons and personal bookmarks. Its interface is Simplified Chinese. No account is required; the app has no ads and makes no network requests.

How do I browse and search?

Search the Catalog tab (词库) with Chinese characters or pinyin, with or without tone marks. You may enter v or u: for ü. Open a category or the daily word to view pinyin, easily confused readings, definitions, examples and sources.

How do I manage bookmarks?

Tap the bookmark in the top-right corner of an entry to save it; tap again to remove it. My Mistake Book (错字本) supports search and sorting by date or category. Swipe left to remove a bookmark, or confirm clearing all bookmarks in Settings.

Why is playback unavailable or different from the pinyin?

Tap Speech Reference (朗读参考) on an entry, and tap again to stop. Playback uses an available Mandarin system voice without microphone access. Check the volume and audio output device. Voice availability and pronunciation vary. The app offers no voice-download feature and cannot guarantee that speech output matches every polyphonic entry. Refer to the displayed pinyin and consult the entry's source.

What references does the catalog use?

Basic readings refer to the 1985 Standard Pronunciations of Variant Readings in Putonghua (《普通话异读词审音表》). Selected entries use pronunciation cases from 咬文嚼字 annual language-error lists. Consult each entry's displayed source. The catalog is a compiled language reference, not an official pronunciation authority or exam-grading tool. Standards, editions and context may affect readings and usage.

Are bookmarks uploaded?

The app does not upload bookmarks to the developer. Word identifiers, bookmark dates and appearance preferences stay on your device; search terms are not persistently saved. System backups depend on your device settings. Removing bookmarks or uninstalling does not delete existing system backups. See the Privacy Policy.

How do I change appearance?

In Settings → Display Mode (设置 → 显示模式), choose System, Light or Dark. Text supports system text-size settings.

How do I report an issue or suggest a word?

Copy zyfly_app@qq.com in Settings → Content Feedback (设置 → 内容反馈), then contact us in your email app. Include the word, question and a reference title or page number if available. Copying the address does not send a message. Avoid including unrelated personal information.
